Two arrested with fake currency notes

Counterfeit notes circulation racket busted

The City Task Force Police arrested two - Nageswara Rao and Suryanarayana when they are trying to smuggle counterfeit currency notes to the city. The counterfeit notes of Rs. 14,000 of Rs. 100 denomination are seized. Rao told the police that he got the notes from Nellore but the police believe he is misleading them.

Rao was arrested about three months ago on similar charges. However, he managed to get a bail and soon enough, he re-started his activities. The police came to learn about this and have finally arrested him again, this time along with Suryanarayana who is assisting Rao in the circulation process.
