Shri P. K. Jain, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax visited Gangavaram Port today. He was welcomed by Mr. Gadde Brahmaiah (Director-Ops), Mr. Janardhan Rao (Sr. Vice President - Ops), Capt. Anil Panjwani (Dy. Conservator) & Mr. K R R Naidu (Vice President, Security, Fire & RR). The port officials gave an update about the existing port facilities and was also briefed the proposed expansion including additional berth facilities, coal mechanized systems and additional railway lines. Mr. Jain expressed keen interest in port facilities and appreciated the ongoing mechanized coal discharge and iron ore loading operations at the port. He was briefed about the railway rakes receipt and dispatch facilities at the Port.
